Who am I ?

First thing first, let’s go for the basics. My name is Sydney, I am 29 years old, I worked the last 5 years as a civil engineer in Paris.
I am french, So my English is not perfect and I apologize in advance for my nasty accent and the English mistakes that I will do.

Oh, and yes, let’s get rid of it, I love cheese, baguette and red wine, not cliché at all.
But I also love to learn about alimentation, fitness, meditation, photography, video and anything tech related. Plus the icing on the cake, I am a little Otaku.

Recently, the company that I was working for went out of business. I was sad for a few weeks, but also exited. Ecxited because I was feeling that one chapter of my life was closing and a new one starting.

This new chapter is scaring and full of unknowns. But this is the reason why it is magical in my point view. It is once of thoses moments in life, where you are a little lost because you have so many possibilities. I was at a crossroad and I had a direction to take.

I could do the same job that I was doing for years in Paris, France or the international. Or taking a risky and crazy road. If I wrote those lines today, you probably figure out that I took the second option.

Why do I travel ?

There is a passion, I did not tell you about, TRAVELING. Since my majority, I always do my best to visit two countries a year. Today I luckily visited around 50 countries.

Why do I travel ? I think I don’t really know the answer to this question, but I have few clues :
Approaching 30, being single, the closure of the company I was working for was the little push I was missing to realize my biggest dream, travel the world.

All I can tell you is that I am not a huge spender, but I think that travelling one was of my best investment. It made me grow, open myself to new cultures, make me more curious and comprehensive. It fulfills the crazy part of me.

The purpose is then to discover the world, who am I, what i am made of. Maybe found better balance and fuller happiness on the way…

Why making a blog and videos about It ?

It is a way of sharing my passion and my vision. Show what the world has in store for us and the magic behind traveling. It is also a new challenge for me. I do have a little background in photography, but recording and editing videos is totally new to me. As well, I often use to be behind the camera and not in front of it. However, I hope to share with you the travel bug I have.
